East of Eden & Engines Car Show
The Valley Guild and the Steinbeck House invite you to join us as a car exhibitor for our first annual East of Eden & Engines Car Show Event, a free annual community event celebrating classic and vintage cars and the literary legacy of John Steinbeck. Held at the Salinas Intermodal Transportation Center, this festive, familyfriendly gathering will feature community partners, engaging activities for children, and delicious food prepared by the Steinbeck House.

There is a $35 minimum donation fee for all car exhibitors. Every donation includes a free meal voucher at the Steinbeck House food booth. The Steinbeck House runs on donations, and we appreciate your generous support.
What Will Your Contribution Support?
The Valley Guild has maintained and preserved the Steinbeck House since 1974. For 52 years, we have welcomed guests from near and far to experience culture, education, and local history through our nonprofit restaurant, guided tours, gift shop and bookstore, and special events. We also provide community programs and charitable initiatives, including complimentary lunches for local schools and nonprofits, as well as meaningful volunteer and work experience opportunities for seniors, teens, and college students. Your contribution will directly benefit local residents and visitors by preserving this historic landmark for generations to come.
Instructions for Car Exhibitors:
You will receive a confirmation email upon registration. If you do not receive an email, please contact Michelle at adm.manager.steinbeckhouse@gmail.com
Registered car exhibitors should arrive between 8:30am and 10:00am on Sunday, October 18th, at the Salinas Intermodal Transit Center, and plan to stay until 3 pm.
Cars will be parked on the pavement and will be shown where to park. If you’d like to park next to a friend, please come at the same time.
Confirmation and more details will be mailed upon receipt of registration.
