SUMMARY:Mission San Juan Bautista Tour
DESCRIPTION:Club Member\, Mike Romo has set up a tour of the Mission San Juan Bautista.  \nWe’ll meet at Fred and Lorie Saunders House off of Rio Road in Salinas. Fred will lead us to the Mission via the back roads.  \nHere is the itinerary:  \n1.  Club members participating in the Mission tour should be gathered together to start the tour at 11 a.m. so folks can have lunch about an hour and a half later.  We will allow time for people to to park their cars\, get a group photo\, have a bathroom break\, and gather together to take the tour.   (The tour will start at 11 a.m.)\n \n2.  Deacon Jewel Sean Gentry\, Executive Director of the Mission San Juan Bautista Preservation Fund\, who will lead the tour\, will set aside an area for us to park our cars.  It will probably be in front of the Casa Maria building in back of the Mission.  \n \n3.  The private tour of the Mission church and the Museum will last approximately an hour.  The tour will end at the Gift Shop where there are restrooms nearby.  We will have a  30 minutes for a bathroom break and a brief gift shop visit for those that are interested.  \n \n4.  Those staying for lunch will walk to the Jardines de San Juan\, a good Mexican restaurant for the no-host lunch.  There is outdoor and indoor seating at tables.  I would expect lunch to be over by 1:30.  (Please RSVP so we can give the restaurant a good head count.)\n \n5.  Following lunch\, participants will leave for home or return to the Mission to spend more time in the Mission church\, the museum\, or the grounds.  They could also visit the nearby San Juan Bautista State Park\, which has interesting exhibits to see and is just across from the Mission’s entrance plaza.\nPlease enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.Name *FirstLastEmail *PhoneType of Meeting I will be attending *Membership MeetingCBCCoM Event/DriveName of Meeting/Event *Date / TimeDateTimeAre you attending? *YesNoMaybeAre you bringing a guest?YesNoGuest NameFirstLastComment or MessageSubmit  \n

DESCRIPTION:Resceduled from last year’s Rainout  \nWagon Master: Marie Wiens\n  \nOur last drive of the 2025 season was to be be November 15th. We would have driven down Hwy 1 to the turnaround and then back up to Fernwood Resort\, at 47200 Hwy 1\, Big Sur.\n \n \nAs usual we will depart from Starbucks in the Crossroads. The departure time will be 10:00am. Meet up at 9:30am. \n \nThe schedule for the day is:\n \n10:00 am departure from Starbucks with a stop at the Turn Around for pictures. We’ll then drive back to Julie Pfeiffer Burns State Park. You can visit  the restroom and/or take the amazing hike out to the Falls. The hike is not long and is easy.m (Now that Highway 1 is open\, we may go a little further)\n \nThe plan is to depart the park around 11:20 – 11:30 at the latest. The last stop will be the Fernwood Resort for lunch. They have a diverse menu\, but are known for their amazing pizzas. \n \nAfter lunch\, you may return at your leisure.\n  \n\nThis is one of my favorites and weather permitting the views are amazing. DESCRIPTION:The second annual Monterey British is coming up Monday\, August 11th\, 2025\, at the same location in beautiful Carmel Valley. Registration will open Saturday\, February 1st through www.jags.org \n  \nThis year we will be asking for your mailing address so we can send your field pass (a static cling decal you’ll attach to your windshield).  We won’t be sharing that information with anyone as I hate spam just as much\, if not more than you!  \n  \nSome of the fun you can look forward to will be awards for each marque present with a category of at least four cars. Also\, Monday is a dark day at Laguna Seca so we are hoping to have a special visit with some of the Del Monte Trophy Racers. Additionally\, we are working with Jerome’s Market for a special pick up a picnic to go option. Stay tuned for more information and fun announcements as we get closer.  \n  \nSunday\, August 10th we are offering a special day in Pebble Beach with rolling photos and lunch at a private\, special location.  Registration also opens February 1st for the “Pebble Beach British” through www.jags.org \n \nWe are extremely excited to be returning British events to Car Week and look forward to celebrating with you!  \n  \nAs always\, please feel free to reach out at any time with any questions and yes\, please tell all your friends about our British weekend\, but only after you’ve claimed your spot first 😉  \n
